Welcome to our Foster Success Stories section! At Pawsitive Futures UK, we believe that every rescue animal has a tale worth telling. Here, we share the inspiring journeys of our furry friends as they transition from uncertain beginnings to loving forever homes. Fostering is such an important part of rescue, many dogs would not cope in kennels and fosters provide that stepping stone while they wait for their forever home. Tycho
Tycho came into foster with us from RATS Animal Rescue, sadly his owner has passed away and the family couldn't look after him. Tycho is blind, but he manages really well.
He was adopted quite quickly, but unfortunately it didn't work out. Tycho felt quite unsettled and his behaviour changed, he became quite shut down and the family felt they couldn't manage him.
He came back into foster with us, we were able to work on building his confidence and teaching him a routine. He was adopted by a wonderful family who adore him and treat him with the respect he deserves. We recieve lovely updates.
Betsy
What a little sweetheart Betsy was. She came as an emergency foster from Angels for Animals Foundation when her owner was taken into care.
As an older lady, Betsy had a few issues with her bladder, but with a good routine and some medication from the vets, she was as good as new. When she arrived she was very stiff and showing signs of arthritis, once she was on pain relief she got the zoomies and it made our whole year!
She was adopted by a lovely lady who was looking forward to the company, Betsy was defintely the girl for the job.
Mona
Mona came over from Bosnia with Paws United UK, she was hit by a car as a puppy and found dragging herself on the side of the road.
Disabled dogs can take longer to home, they often get overlooked which is sad because they have so much to give. Caring for a disabled dog can be quite straightforward, good routine is essential and bladder expression is simple and quick once you get the hang of it.
Mona was with us for a year, we knew her perfect home was out there somewhere. Just before Christmas her new Mum chose her and she's settling in really well. She has a fur sibling who is also on wheels, they are super cute together.
Echo
Echo's story was heartbreaking. She was picked up by the Dog Warden after being left tied to a bench in a park. She had a note in her collar asking whoever found her to find her a new home as they could no longer take care of her. Rats Animal Rescue took her under their wing and she came to us for foster.
She's an absolutely beautiful girl, so well behaved and very loving. She struggled with being left, which can be common with dogs who have been abandoned, but she soon worked out that she was safe.
Shepherds need experienced owners generally, and Echo was lucky to find her perfect family. They already had an ex-military working dog, and plenty of experience. She is thriving and they are besotted with her.

Nellie
Nellie came to us in 2023, she was rescued by Angels for Animals Foundation (AFA) from a Government shelter in Turkey. She had been attacked by a pack of dogs, she was only a puppy. Her spine and back legs were broken, along with her spirit. When she was pulled from the shelter she had maggots in her wounds!
Nellie had a will to survive, she was determined and showed everyone her desire to improve her mobility. Once she was rehabilitated, Miracles Mission collaborated with AFA to get her to the UK and into a loving home. We offered to foster Nellie until she found her forever home. She was with us for 8 months, and during that time she continued to improve her mobility and really showed her zest for life.
In 2024 she was adopted, and went off to live her best life in Scotland, we were so happy for her, but of course we missed her too, she took a little piece of our hearts with her.
